The Flower of our hearts - Roselyn Xiu Jie
Born on October 29th 2006, in the province of Guangdong China. Carried on the wings of destiny and placed among us by God's very own hands; a Dream fulfilled, a Prayer answered, a Family created.

After our return to Holland, we have to begin the Dutch formalities within three days:
1. Register Roselyn at our Haarlemeermeer Community Hall. 2. Register Roselyn at the Immigration and Naturalisation Office (IND) 2. Inform the K&T foundation (within 8 days we must send copies of the Documents of Roselyn) 3. A TBC bill of health Furthermore we have to visit the Child specialist and engage a lawyer to formaly finalise the adoption process by court according to the Dutch Civil Laws. Luckily we already made these appointments before our trip. We still have a lot to do yet ! So the three of us went first thing Monday morning to enter Roselyn as an inhabitant of Hoofddorp/Haarlemeermeer and to register her at the Foreign Office . The friendly clerk told us that we first have to make an appointment for this and that the Community Hall also takes care of the IND registration process. We manage to make an appointment for toda, wednesday 5th of April. A lady Civil officer said the office must first verrify (by experts) the legalized documents and this will take approx. one week. The funny thing is that the documents (Adoption, Abandon and Birth certificates) were legalized by the Dutch consulate in Beijing. The Haarlemeermeer Community Hall will be responsible for: - Community registration of Roselyn - Initiating and managing the Immigration process by the IND - Submitting a request to the GGD (Community Health Service) of TBC declaration and vaccination registrations. After a few weeks, Roselyn will be entered in the registered as an inhabitant of the Haarlemmermeer Community. The IND will take a maximun of six month to process her Dutch Immigration Permit. |
